Free/cheap things to do in February

Winter is getting old for many of us- here are some ways to get the family out of the house that won’t cost an arm and a leg!  Here’s just a snapshop- check your local venues for free dates (feel free to leave a comment with a link to free/cheap things to do in your area) ILLINOIS Shedd Aquarium: FREE General admission and discounted upgraded admission to Illinois Residents: February 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29   Anyone with a Bank of America Debit card and photo ID can receive one free General Admission Feb 6-7 WASHINGTON DC National Zoo:  FREE every day TEXAS Dallas Zoo–  $5 admission December 1- FEbruary 29.  After that it goes up to regular pricing of $12-15 CALIFORNIA Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego– Feb 18- 5-7pm.  Free the third Thursday of every month from 5-7pm.  WEbsite does state “kid friendly” WASHINGTON Seattle Art Museum– Feb 4-  Free to all on the first Thursday of every month INDIANA Children’s Museum of Indianapolis (I have been to this museum and it is WORTH the full price admission cost- so to get in FREE or even reduced is a FANTASTIC deal!) Milwaukee Free Admission Days

It’s a new year and my vacation time started over exactly 4 days ago.  So… it’s time to plan how to use it! We’re planning a trip to Milwaukee late spring/ summer time since it’s only a 4.5 hour drive. I thought I’d share some cool info in case you’re planning a trip too! Milwaukee Public Museum is FREE the first Thursday of every month thanks to Kohls.  Click here for their website.
