My family LOVES to travel. My blog isn’t about “things to do” where we live- it’s about things to do anywhere! We love to experience new things all of the time and so I try to find interesting things to do anywhere. Any time I post these monthly ideas of free/cheap things to do- I try to find things in a variety of places… Some of them we’ve been to, and some of them we would LOVE to go to if the chance ever comes up- here’s some fun things for March
California:
Asian Art Museum– San Francisco – Free the first Sunday of each month as part of the Target First Free Sunday program.
Georgia:
Children’s Museum of Atlanta– Atlanta- Free the second Tuesday (March 14) as part of the Target Free admission program.
Florida:
Fort George Island Cultural State Park– Jacksonville- FREE ADMISSION. open 8am-Sundown.
Texas:
Houston Zoo-Houston- Free First Tuesday afternoon (March 7) noon-5pm (zoo closes at 6pm) You can get advance tickets up to a week in advance, or at the door the day of. Runs September- May.
Ohio:
Columbus Zoo– Columbus: Half price admission through March 17. We traveled to this zoo last summer and it was FANTASTIC- I’ll finally be posting about it this month but trust me when I say- It’s worth every penny- your kids will love it!
Michigan:
Belle Isle Nature Center– Detroit- Free admission with admission to Belle Isle State Park ( Michigan residents with the state park passport will get in free to both)
